What is the Experiences of Social Exclusion in the Economic Activity of People with Mental Disorders?

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of social exclusion in the economic activity of people with mental disorders. To achieve this, the purposive sampling method was used to select study participants. Total 6 study participants were selected based on this sampling. This study adopted qualitative case study and analyzed by Stake(1995)¡¯s analysis frame. As a results, three categories for social exclusion in the economic activity of people with mental disorders were identified: ¡®Exclusion and deprivation of rights in the workplace,¡¯ ¡®The need for approval through aggressive challenges,¡¯ ¡®The needs for social change and support to keep a job.¡¯ Based on the results, this author is able to understand the experiences related to social exclusion of people with mental disorders and suggest the activating strategy for the economic activity of people with mental disorders.
